Caroline County

The proud host of the annual Virginia State Fair.

Welcome to Caroline County

Caroline County is the proud host of the annual Virginia State Fair. We may be biased, but we definitely think our State Fair has superior fried Oreos to any other state fair! For all you equestrian enthusiasts out there, Caroline County is also the birthplace of Triple Crown Legend, Secretariat! Tours of the farm he was born at are still running today! Meadow Event Park also hosts great events (our personal favorites being all kinds of horse shows!) Looking for a bite to eat? Stop by Guiseppes and be sure to get their garlic knots and gelato! Rather have a larger-than-your-mouth burger? Drop in to Timbers Restaurant for burgers, sandwiches, subs, and more! If antiquing and farmers’ markets sound like your perfect day, Caroline County is the place for you!
